A hardware wallet is a small device (usually the size of a USB stick or a credit card) that stores your private Bitcoin keys securely and offline. It is considered the safest way for individuals to keep larger amounts of Bitcoin themselves. How does it work? To send Bitcoin, a transaction has to be signed with your private key.
