A Bitcoin address is a string of characters to which others can send you Bitcoin, for example starting with “bc1”. It is derived from your public key. You can give your address out without worry, because nobody can withdraw money with it. For more privacy, modern wallets create a new address for every incoming payment. When sending, always check the first and last characters of the recipient address, because some malware secretly swaps copied addresses.
